WILLIAM DAVIDSON INSTITUTE

The William Davidson Institute focuses on poverty in low- and middle-income countries, providing a platform to share knowledge and discuss innovations aimed at improving lives in these countries. After hearing about a service learning project I designed with my students at the American International School of Bamako in Mali, they asked me to share on their online platform, Next Billion.

I was completely shocked to be chosen as Teacher of the Year in the 10th largest school district in the country, especially after state testing mania nearly destroyed my school year!
